News:
There will be 3 rides in 2010 , an open challenge ride of 33km , an intermediate
ride of 28km and a recreational ride of 13km.
The 2 main rides will feature upgraded track in the Raincliff Forest downhill
section with the stepped areas being replaced with newly formed track . Both
these rides will also feature a new uphill section in the forest and return back
to the main track via a new single track section thru forest area.
After the forest area ,the Export 33 ride will have a challenging climb up a
farm track onto a terrace , then descend down onto a shingled farm track for a
sweet ride home.
The Cyclery Intermediate ride will return to the finish via shingle road and
farm track.
Both rides will merge approx 3km from the finish and enjoy some crossings over
Raincliff Stream , before exiting onto the Opihi Riverbed , then along the river
stop bank back into Raincliff Camp to the finish line.
The Raincliff Rumble MTB Export 33 Challenge 33km ride in 2010 will also feature
–The Corporate Teams Challenge. Teams of 4 persons will compete for the
Corporate Teams Trophy. There has been considerable interest in this already and
you will find full details on the Corporate
Teams page.
To keep within the spirit of the event, the organizers would prefer that
teams are made up of either business workmates or if your business is short of
riders, you may like to invite a KEY Customer or Client to join you.
Get your business team together now and start training. We guarantee some great
fun.
The Export 33 Challenge Ride event will also be round 3 in the South Canterbury
MTB Cup Series. See www.scmtbcup.co.nz
for full details of this event.
The recreational ride is designed for the young and newbie rider and should be
achievable by most riders. We advise that riders 12 years and under should have
support.
Come to Raincliff and Rumble.
